Why

Everything is already somewhere on the internet. That's exactly the problem.

We don't lack information. We lack a reading order, a way to sort through it, and someone willing to say where their knowledge ends.

  1. Finding is no longer enough

Finding an answer takes ten seconds. Knowing if it's correct, up-to-date, and applicable to your situation takes weeks. That's the work that's done before you even open the file.

  2. A book that tells you what it doesn't cover

Each title ends with a list of what it doesn't cover. You know what you're buying before you pay, and what you'll still need to look for elsewhere.

  3. Written to be applied, not admired

Templates, checklists, decision tables, named tools, and a seven-day kickstart program. The text reads; the rest fills itself in.

Chapter one

Knowledge has never been scarce. Curated knowledge, however, is.

A reading order, and nothing designed to fill pages for the sake of it.

The level

What is well done speaks for itself.

Notre position

The method

How a title enters the catalog.

There is no secret: there is a procedure, the same for all titles, and a right of veto at each stage.

  1. The author did the deed

A title doesn't come from research, it comes from practice. What hasn't been done isn't written.

  2. Every source is traced

Standards, official texts, public repositories. Thresholds that change from one year to the next are never fixed in the text: we refer to the authoritative source.

  3. We write what we don't cover

Before layout, each title states its limitations. This is the most uncomfortable part to write, and the most useful to read.

  4. Composition, then cold review

Layout, appendices, glossary, startup program. Then a full remote review of the subject, where we remove everything that doesn't help.

Titles relating to taxation, customs, and tools age more quickly than others. They are reviewed annually, and the date of the last review is kept internally.

What can be kept

What took time to understand is no longer forgotten.

The details

Value lies in what you only see by getting closer.
